SEI Group, Inc. (SEI) is a minority owned Huntsville, Alabama Corporation, founded in 1996 by Eloy J. Torrez.  SEI graduated from the SBA 8(a) program in 2006, and is currently a Small Disadvantaged Business (SDB).  SEI offers customers, such as government agencies and commercial organizations, products and services in Solutions, Energy Technologies, and Infrastructure.

SEI delivers its products and services via A-E sustainable design, engineering-procurement-construction (EPC), design-build (D-B), construction management and inspection (CMI), and operations & maintenance (O&M).  SEI has developed niche competencies in energy conservation technologies R&D, facility revitalization/restoration, utility monitoring/control, electronic/physical security, and contingency/temporary base camps.

As of September 2009, SEI had a staff of 121 employees, with 35 engineers and architects (19 registered professionals).  Other professional registrations include LEED Accredited Professional, Certified Public Accountant, Certified Energy Auditor, Certified Energy Manager, and the International Interior Design Association (IIDA).

Over the last eleven years, SEI has managed and executed 82 contracts, while successfully completing over 500 task orders and projects with over 30 government agencies and prime contractors, totaling $156.4 Million throughout the USA and in 17 foreign countries.  SEI has solid experience in successfully forming and performing as a team member or in Joint Ventures.  As an ISO 9001:2008 certified company, SEI uses established and proven management policies, and processes for effectively managing contracts and projects.  SEI is financially sound and has minimal long-term debt.  As further evidence of SEI’s exceptional experience record and financial strength, the firm currently has $40 million total bonding capacity.  Our growing customer base demonstrates our diverse capabilities and reputation for responsive on time delivery and high quality products and services.

SEI has been listed in the Hispanic Business Magazine 500 every year from 2001 to 2009.  In 2002, SEI received the SBA Award of Excellence.  In 2003, SEI was recognized as the 2nd Fastest Growing Hispanic Business by Hispanic Business Magazine.  In 2004, SEI was listed as one of the 500 fastest growing private firms by Inc. As the current NASA MFSC Engineering Design Services (EDS) prime contractor, SEI brings working knowledge of NASA MSFC missions, responsibilities and processes, as well as strong relationships with many key MSFC personnel.
